Thanks to a double degree program between Universidad Central de Venezuela and Politecnico di Torino, David Fernandez achieved both BSc in Electrical Engineering, and MSc in Electronic Engeneeing on 2016, with a mark of 103/110, acquiring both his technical and theoretical knowledge of the electronics. Under the supervision of Prof. Danilo Demarchi and in association with the Harvard-MIT Deparment of Medicine, David developed his master thesis on an "Electromechanical Stimulation and Monitoring System for the Development of Cardiac Cell Cultures", introducing himself in the application of electronics on the Biomedical field.

Since October 2016, David has been involved in the MINES laboratory activities, associated with the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), working as an electronic engineer on applications for biomedical, energy, and robotics field; preparing himself to be a future PhD candidate at Politecnico di Torino.
