Ph.D. at Politecnico di Torino, Electronics Engineering

Andrea Prestia (Torino, 1996) achieved both his BSc and MSc in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino in 2018 and 2020, respectively.

During his master thesis, entitled “Design and Integration of an Event-Driven Rehabilitation System for Functional Electrical Stimulation”, he carried out the development and validation of a system for FES control, acquiring experience in software design, hardware implementation, and leading in-vivo experimental testing. His passion for electronics applied to the neuromuscular field has led him to start a collaboration with the MiNES group, currently with a scholarship, and waiting to start his PhD journey.

His research interests include electronic design, bio-sensors, wireless body sensor networks, and rehabilitation systems.
