Rossi Fabio

Ph.D. Candidate at Politecnico di Torino, Electronics Engineering

Fabio Rossi achieved his BSc and his MSc in Biomedical Engineering with specialisation in Biomedical Nanotechnology at the Politecnico di Torino in 2015 and 2017, respectively.

He carried out his master thesis, titled “Low Power System for Event-Driven Functional Electrical Stimulation”, under the supervision of Prof. Danilo Demarchi and in a collaboration with Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT). The project shows the implementation of an event-driven bio-inspired FES approach for clinical rehabilitation of neuromuscular disorders.
He continued his collaboration with Prof. Danilo Demarchi and the Department of Electronic Engineering of Politecnico di Torino until November 2018, when he started his PhD career in Electronics Engineering in the same institute. The main goal of the PhD concerns in the development of biomedical applications based on the event-driven approach applied to signal acquisition and processing.

Research interests include bio-sensors, bio-signal processing, low power electronics and wireless transmission for the development of biomedical systems.
